Project story
This estate sits near Lake Vermilion in northern Minnesota, outside Silver Loon's service area — another real job from the crew that builds our roofs.
The home is a large custom timber-frame build: log and cedar-shingle siding, stone porch columns, and a roofline with multiple gables and dormers rather than one simple plane. The new roof is a dark bronze standing seam panel, run clean across every ridge and valley. A detached garage carries the same roof and matches the house.
Getting a roof this complex to line up — every gable meeting the next at the same reveal, every dormer flashed the same way — takes more layout work than a simple gable roof. The photos here are all finished shots, taken on a clear evening with the sky still blue behind the ridge line. No crew in frame, but the clean, consistent panel work in these photos does not happen by accident.
