The story
From custom homes in the Rockies to roofs in lake country.
Jimmy spent more than 30 years building custom homes in the Crested Butte area of Colorado. Most of that was framing, interior and exterior trim, and roofing. He did plumbing, electrical, painting and drywall along the way too. He has built houses from the framing up and put the roof on to finish them.
Crested Butte gets real winters: deep snow, hard freezes and a short building season. A roof up there has to be right the first time. That is the standard he brings to Minnesota.
Today Jimmy lives in Crosby with his four kids. He started Silver Loon Roofing here in 2026, and it is small on purpose. There is no sales team and no call center. You talk to Jimmy. He looks at your roof, writes your estimate and checks the work before the crew leaves.
